KI-YAH!!

Jarelyn wanted to have a Karate Birthday Party this year. At first I tried talking her out of it but the more I thought about it the more the idea of letting someone else take over the party details became a GREAT idea- all I had to do was bring the cake! {some say I am a perfectionist and have a hard time not being in control... but I dont believe that's the problem!} A few days before the party Jarelyn got to go to a private lesson so she would be able to help "teach" at her birthday party! She did an awesome job The kids all had a blast learning karate moves, yelling Ki-Yah!!, playing games and eating pizza... then it was time to sing Happy Birthday and cut the cake! Everyone had a blast! It was one of my favorite birthday partys we've had!

Just Another Day in June

June 2nd UsED to be Just Another Day... until 6 years ago when my Beautiful Little Jarelyn blessed my life and the world! For everyone's birthday they get to pick their favorite dinner. This year when I asked Jarelyn what she wanted she said,"hmmmm... I want a turkey and a ham". As if that wasnt funny enough to me, she adds, "and for breakfast I would like a pancake shaped like a crown with my name spelled in jellybeans". Laughing I asked if there was anything else- like maybe an elephant ride to go with that! Although I share her enjoyment of a yummy turkey dinner... that wasnt going to happen! Lucky for me she remembered that her favorite food was really chicken sandwiches from Tastee Freez. She did manage to get her birthday breakfast made to order:o)

I love You Jarelyn! I hope you always remember how very special you are and never settle for less!

Memories of May

Jarelyn was in her first play "The Jungle Book" at EAC and was cast as a jungle flower! She did a great job and she felt like a real STAR when so many of her friends and family came to watch her... and brought FLOWERS for her!

2010 was an exciting year for our house! Jarelyn graduated from K JT graduated from Middle School and I graduated from college!

Although it would have been much easier 10 years ago before I was a mom and wife... it was So cool to share such a big accomplishment!
