We dont have a lot of room this year for a Christmas tree and since we will be back "home" for Christmas we were trying to deside what to do to add a little hohoho to our home til then. I told Jarelyn we were going to make a paper tree and she looked at me like I'd been drinking heavily:o) She said didnt want a paper tree, but she said she would "give it a try"! We cut out the tree(Im sure it was just as hard as cutting DOWN a tree) we glued on garland, cut out lights, made pipecleaner candy canes, cut foam balls in half and covered them in glue for balls, covered a star in aluminum foil and even completed it with a tree skirt trimmed in cottonballs:o) When we were done Jarelyn said it was "even funner than our real tree!" We really did have a good time.
This morning we woke up to SNOW!! In WEST TEXAS!! LOL Jarelyn just told me on Monday she was ready to go back to AZ because "it's never gonna snow here!" We would have stayed home from school but we got to have breakfast with Santa in the morning. After we all ate the kids all got to sit on Santas lap and tell him what they wanted. Jarelyn climbed up on his knee and tells him, "I know you're not the REAL Santa, but I want a scooter." Gotta love this girl!! Before we got kicked out- Jarelyn and I headed home to play in the snow!
made snow angels, and when we couldnt feel our noses anymore, went inside for yummy warm cocoa with marshmellows!
On Saturday we got to have breakfast with an angel! We ate a yummy breakfast and then watched the story of Jesus' birth from an angels perspective.
